John Collier Jr. (1913-1992) was an anthropologist and photographer. From 1935-1944, the Farm Security Administration sent photographers across America to document life and the challenges faced in rural areas. Collier, along with Dorothea Lange, Gordon Parks, Walker Evans and more, snapped thousands of photos that documented an important time in America.

This photo shows a neighborhood market in the Portuguese fishermen's section of town.

• Silver gelatin print (developed in a dark room from the original negative).

• Comes framed in a black, gallery-quality aluminum frame.
