American Motel is a collection of photos taken by vacationers throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. The long-gone motor lodges, neon signs, and poolside scenes give a glimpse into travel, design, and architecture across mid-century America. With great cars and awkward smiles abound, American Motel brings to life vacations of the past––long before the time of digital cameras and cell phones.

The photographs were created from found slides and the photographers are all unknown.
