Harold's Club was a staple of Reno's night life in Nevada for over 50 years. Often western-themed, with jokes aplenty, some would argue that Harold's peaked in the 1950s and 60s, right around the time they produced this poster.
The "Bankruptcy Barrel" was/is a widespread joke that once a man has sold even the shirt off his back, he'll have to resort to wearing a barrel–a bold joke for a casino to make to their customers.
