South of France on 35mm Film

We made our way to the South of France again—this time photographing Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Carry-le-Rouet, La Grande Motte and Marseille over 8 days. It was the peak of summer and well into the 90s (30s Celsius) everywhere we trekked, but luckily found ourselves close to the Mediterranean more times than not. We spent time in a mid-century modern motel in the country, swam in Marseille and saw Roman remnants in Arles.

With a rental car, a few rolls of film and some très très mauvais French, we got around alright.

All photos were taken with my 1990s Yashica camera on Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Gold 200.
