The Kingdome was a structural wonder when completed in 1976. Despite numerous setbacks due to politics, funding and timeline issues, the Kingdome was a triumph. Demolished only 24 years later due to a shift in stadium preferences and poor aesthetic upkeep, the Kingdome holds a special place in the hearts of Seattleites and sports history.
